This was a request for my father (sort of a commission, he paid for me to go to the UK back in November!). Depicted is my rendition of the Celtic Warrior Queen Boadicea, or otherwise known as Boudica. Her story is a very interesting and tragic one.
Boadicea was queen of the Iceni tribe, a Celtic tribe who led an uprising against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire around AD 60 - 61. I encourage you to read more about it... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boudica
